How to Backslide Grind on Inline Skates

Inline · Backslide Grind

Sliding on the soul plate of one foot only, with the leg perpendicular to the rail.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Approach. Approach the rail or ledge so you can land with one soul plate on the obstacle, leg perpendicular to it.
  2. Jump. Ollie and land with only one foot's soul plate on the rail or ledge, the other foot in the air or trailing.
  3. Slide. Slide on the single soul plate, then exit.

Tips for success

One foot does the work. The perpendicular leg position is key. Good progression from soul grind.
