Vejgaard Skatepark, located in the vibrant city of Aalborg, Denmark, is an indoor skatepark that has garnered a loyal following among local skaters. Despite its current status as closed, this skatepark has been a staple for skateboard enthusiasts, offering a well-designed space that caters to various skill levels. The park provides a safe and controlled environment for skaters to hone their skills, make new friends, and enjoy the thrill of skateboarding in a community setting.
Vejgaard Skatepark features a diverse array of obstacles and elements that make it both challenging and enjoyable. The park includes several quarterpipes, banks at both ends, and a host of grind-friendly features like flatbars, ledges, and manual pads. Skaters can practice their tricks on the euro gap and navigate through stairsets, while the pyramid structure offers additional opportunities for creativity. One of the standout aspects of Vejgaard is its well-maintained concrete surface, ensuring excellent grip and flow throughout the park. For those planning to visit once it is operational, remember that the park has an age restriction of 12 years and older for both members and guests. Helmets are mandatory for junior club members, ensuring safety is a top priority. If you are interested in membership, details can often be found on the local website UngAalborg. Additionally, always check for scheduled events and competitions, such as the annual Camp42 rollerblading competition, which highlights the park's active engagement with the skating community.

Aalborg skate hall is really cool and well built. However, there is a huge downside to this hall. The surface is painfully slippery. It's really bad. To the point where it makes it difficult to utilize some of the obstacles (ramps etc.) that the hall contains. You end up sliding around, which makes it less fun and more dangerous. The hall also lacks a halfpipe/mini ramp. There is one outside, but it's in very poor condition (missing top layer, has holes, etc.). The volunteers who take care of the hall are nice and you feel welcome. This is written from a rollerblade point of view.
Mega mega bad timing, came on a Thursday and it's between May and August so it should have been open, then I get there and wait for an HOUR, and then I leave. The next day, which is a day off, it should have been open from 3 to 6, so we go in, see some skating, and then someone comes in and says it's not open, great park but bad timing.
Hi, thanks for the help, my son loves it. He has become a member, you really have to come and see it because it has been renovated.
We come to the hall every Friday with our 8-year-old son. Great place, good atmosphere, always friendly and welcoming staff (with coffee on hand 🙂) who are happy to help if the equipment needs checking. Good vibes among the parents of the very young skaters.
Denmark's best skate hall, no doubt about it.. It has everything! Ramps, curbs & rails at the right heights. 100% clean asphalt. You can play your own music on a big sound system that can be heard throughout the hall. And they even heat the hall for us in the winter! And the best part is that it only costs 30kr to skate all day in Vejgaard!
I think it's a really cool skatepark with lots of nice people! A big thank you to everyone out there for a fantastic experience. I can highly recommend it to you all. Best wishes, Johan
Sick skate hall! Definitely worth a visit every time.
